Compared to the immortality of Shakespeare’s words, our time on earth, “the world’s stage”, is comparatively brief. For the La Jolla Renaissance Singers’ fiftieth season, these very ideas of our transient existence — of love, laughter, and loss — are chronicled in a collection of madrigals which correspond to the Shakespeare’s Seven stages of Man.
