This season, LJRS presents...
PRIMARILY PRAETORIUS
Tired of "Mainly Mozart", "Basically Bach", "Strictly
Stravinsky"? This holiday season, join the La Jolla
Renaissance Singers for Primarily Praetorius, a sampler
of sacred music from the early German Baroque. Featured
composers include Hieronymus Praetorius (1560-1629), his
son Jacob Praetorius II (1586-1651), and the most famous
Praetorius of all (but no relation): Michael (1571-1621).
The program will include both original motets and
arrangements of popular German hymns and carols.
